Three users have initiated a lawsuit against Apple, claiming to have lost approximately $1.8 million due to a counterfeit Bitcoin wallet application named Sparrow Wallet. The plaintiffs assert that Apple was aware of these fake wallet apps but neglected to take action by removing them or alerting users.
Sparrow Wallet does not have an official application available on iOS. In its defense, Apple mentioned that it has taken steps to eliminate similar fraudulent apps and has suspended the accounts of the developers associated with them.
