This Privacy Policy explains what information Mercation collects, why we collect it, and how we use and share it. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you provide. If you create an account or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address, name (optional) and password you submit.
  • Information collected automatically. Standard request data: IP address, user-agent, referring URL, requested URL, timestamp, HTTP response status.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See section 3 below.

2. How we use the information

  • To operate, secure and improve the Service.
  • To send transactional and editorial emails to subscribers.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  • To comply with applicable laws.

3. Cookies

  • Strictly necessary — to remember your acceptance of this notice.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate page views and navigation patterns. The script is loaded on every page visit; continuing to use the site constitutes your agreement to this collection. To opt out, install a tracker- blocking browser extension.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, AI translation / image generation, Google Analytics) and with authorities when required by law.

5. Retention

Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe; account data until the account is deleted; raw server logs are typically rotated within 90 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@mercation.com.

7. Security

We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures — TLS in transit, hashed passwords, scoped API tokens, principle of least privilege.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
