Pineapple Financial, a Canadian mortgage company, has migrated over $1 billion in housing loan records to the Injective blockchain. The focus of this project is on tokenizing existing loan data instead of launching new mortgage-backed securities. Each record on the blockchain is associated with the original loan documentation and includes over 500 different parameters.
In the future, Pineapple plans to transfer its complete portfolio, which includes more than 29,000 mortgages amounting to over $10 billion, onto the blockchain.
