VanEck has formally requested the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to withdraw its application for the VanEck Lido Staked Ethereum ETF. This fund was intended to track the value of stETH, a token representing liquid staking of Ethereum through the Lido protocol. The application was submitted in October 2025, but it never became effective, and shares of the fund were never issued. The company has not disclosed the reasons behind its decision to abandon the product launch.
