The Sui network, a layer 1 blockchain created by Mysten Labs, reported a mainnet outage on Thursday, causing transaction processing to come to a standstill.

“Sui Mainnet is currently experiencing a network stall. The Sui Core team is actively working on a solution,” the project stated on X. “Please note that transactions may be paused at this time. Updates will be provided as soon as they become available.”

The outage appears to have halted activity throughout the network, but the team had not disclosed the underlying cause of the issue at the time of this report.

This incident is yet another in a series of technical disruptions for Sui, which has previously dealt with periods of reduced performance and outages, including one earlier this year.
