Robinhood, the online brokerage firm, has unveiled a significant update to its platform. The company will integrate autonomous AI agents, introduce perpetual crypto futures, and allow stock trading without weekends.
The Robinhood Agents service is incorporated into the mobile app, enabling traders to customize a personal assistant for market analysis, strategy testing, and automated trading. The platform supports neural networks from leading labs, including OpenAI's GPT-Luna model, which will be available for free until the end of the year.
Additionally, the platform will soon launch a feature called Loops, allowing algorithms to execute commands cyclically—such as checking the market in the mornings or searching for entry points during the user’s sleep hours.
Moreover, the company has introduced an Agent Apps store that enables users to subscribe monthly to premium analytical tools from third-party providers, offering data on options, social trends, and on-chain metrics from over 100 networks.
In the coming months, Robinhood plans to launch perpetual futures for U.S. clients through a partnership with crypto exchange Bitstamp. Traders will have access to positions in BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK, and HYPE. Leverage will be up to 10x for Bitcoin and Ethereum, and up to 3x for other assets. Until the end of the year, the trading fee will be set at 0.01%.
Following regulatory approval, the broker aims to enable round-the-clock trading of stocks and ETFs seven days a week, with liquidity on weekends provided by the alternative system Bruce ATS.
Other updates include binary contracts for corporate earnings reports via the Cboe exchange, extended options trading hours, support for cancelable orders, and the launch of the Robinhood Social network.
It is worth noting that at the end of September, on-chain analyst Wazz revealed a significant rug pull scheme within the Robinhood Chain. An organized group executed 53 token launches over two months, extracting at least $18.43 million.
