OpenAI has purchased the startup Glass Imaging, which leverages artificial intelligence to enhance smartphone photography, according to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal. The transaction reportedly took place several months ago, with Glass Imaging being valued at over $300 million, a significant increase from its valuation of approximately $100 million projected for 2025.
Founded by former Apple engineers, Glass Imaging's zoom technology is already being utilized by Honor. Neither party has publicly confirmed the acquisition.
