MegaETH announces its MEGA token launch date for April 30, 2026, after achieving significant project milestones.
MegaETH, a layer-2 blockchain project, has announced that its MEGA token will officially launch on April 30, 2026, coinciding with its Token Generation Event (TGE).

This announcement follows the successful deployment of 10 applications on the MegaETH mainnet, which include various services such as the lending platform Cap and the exchange Kumbaya.
However, the MEGA token experienced a decline in its value, dropping from $0.20 to $0.16 during pre-market trading after the news was revealed.
It's important to note that not all participants in the MegaETH rewards program will receive their full allocation of tokens on the launch day. Only those who participated in the Sonar Sale will enjoy a complete unlock of their tokens.
MegaETH aims to position itself as a "real-time blockchain" with a target capacity of 100,000 transactions per second (TPS), although current performance metrics indicate an average of around 30 TPS.
Previously, in October 2025, MegaETH raised an impressive $1.39 billion through its initial coin offering (ICO), with demand outstripping supply significantly, as evidenced by the 27x oversubscription rate.
The public mainnet was launched by the MegaETH team in February 2026, marking another significant milestone for the project.
