Kentucky Industrial Alliance has initiated two legal actions against Cave City, Kentucky, in response to a year-long moratorium on new data center constructions. This moratorium was enacted shortly after the company unveiled plans for a 243-acre campus dedicated to artificial intelligence and cloud computing, which would have a capacity of 1.2 GW. In the second lawsuit, the developer is contesting the annexation of the land to the city scheduled for 2024, as the moratorium does not apply outside city limits. The $4.8 billion project is proposed to be located adjacent to Mammoth Cave National Park.
