The Kentucky Industrial Alliance has filed two lawsuits against the city of Cave City, Kentucky, challenging a year-long ban on new data center developments. This construction moratorium came into effect shortly after the company announced plans for a significant 243-acre facility aimed at artificial intelligence and cloud computing, which is expected to generate 1.2 GW of power. In the second legal action, the Alliance is disputing the planned annexation of the property into the city, set for 2024, since the moratorium does not extend beyond city boundaries. The ambitious $4.8 billion project is slated to be built near Mammoth Cave National Park.
