Jeonbuk Bank from South Korea has successfully completed a pilot for cross-border transfers using stablecoins through a private channel on the Solana blockchain. The initiative involved collaboration with the Solana Foundation and Node Infra. The bank managed to execute the entire transfer process, which included depositing won, converting it into digital assets, and settling payments abroad. Importantly, the details regarding counterparties and transaction amounts were not disclosed on the public network; only the deposit of funds and the final settlement amounts were recorded. This test specifically utilized a model for transferring money by foreign workers from Korea back to their home countries.
