IREN has secured authorization to begin construction on a data center campus in Badajoz, Spain, with a projected capacity of 300 MW set to launch in 2028. The facility aims to offer European clients cloud AI services while ensuring data localization. The company's entry into the European market follows its acquisition of the Spanish data center developer Nostrum Group in June, which provided IREN with access to approximately 490 MW of connected power capacity in the country. Additionally, in October, IREN was named the official AI cloud partner of Real Madrid Football Club.
