According to the International Federation of Robotics, global sales of humanoid robots are projected to reach around 7,000 units by 2025 for use in industrial and professional settings. This marks a significant contrast to the previous year's figures, which included approximately 542,000 traditional industrial robots and 199,000 service robots sold.
Currently, humanoid robots are mainly employed for research purposes and data collection, with automotive companies experimenting with them on a limited scale. Looking ahead, Bank of America forecasts that deliveries of humanoid robots will rise to 90,000 units in 2026 and could soar to 1.2 million by 2030.
