Between July 25 and 26, the cost of graphics cards in China surged by 15-30%, driven by an increase in GDDR6 and GDDR7 memory prices, according to media reports citing local marketplaces. The RTX 5070 Ti saw a price hike of 21.8%, the RX 9060 XT 16GB jumped by 28.8%, and the Intel Arc B570 rose by 20.6%.
Retailers have begun stockpiling graphics cards in anticipation of a price increase in DRAM during the third and fourth quarters of 2026. This trend in China could serve as an early indicator for other markets if the shortage and rising memory prices persist.
