Although geo-blocking measures have been in place since 2024, many users have managed to circumvent these restrictions, leading to over 205,000 unique visitors from France to the platform in June alone. Additionally, the regulator has raised alarms about the potential for outcome manipulation, prompting Paris prosecutors to launch an investigation in May regarding allegations of tampering with weather sensors to influence betting outcomes. Currently, Polymarket faces geo-blocking across 36 jurisdictions, including countries like Singapore, Poland, Ukraine, and Brazil.
