Founders of BitOK and Blockchain Life Speak at Alpha Summit

The Alpha Summit, hosted by Alfa-Bank in Moscow on April 28, featured key discussions on the role of digital currencies in the future of financial markets. Highlighting the event were Dmitry Machikhin, the founder of the AML service BitOK, and Sergey Khitrov, founder of the Blockchain Life conference, who participated in a session on digital currencies and tokenization.

Machikhin took the stage to speak about the implications of digital assets, while Khitrov served as the moderator for the session, which also saw contributions from prominent figures including Alexey Yakovlev from the Russian Ministry of Finance and Roman Goryunov of the NP RTS association.

Elvira Nabiullina, Chair of the Central Bank of Russia, and Alfa-Bank CEO Vladimir Verkhoshinsky opened the summit with their insights on the Russian economy, followed by a session featuring Maxim Reshetnikov, the Minister of Economic Development.

An important indicator of the growing acknowledgment of digital assets in Russia's economy was noted by Machikhin, who stressed that the inclusion of crypto discussions alongside government officials reflects an evolving regulatory landscape. He emphasized the need for comprehensive regulations in line with global standards set by the FATF and EAG, pointing to the necessity for clarity in the market's complex dimensions.
