Despite Bitcoin breaking out of a two-week consolidation phase, some market analysts remain uncertain about its future direction.
Technical analyst known as Darkfost remarked that the leading cryptocurrency is at a "tipping point between a genuine bullish recovery and a continuation of the correction." Currently, the market is driven by futures, while spot demand is declining.

We’re paying closer attention to it because everyone knows Bitcoin is now sitting at the tipping point between a genuine bullish recovery and a continuation of the correction.

"Balance remains and still leans in favor of buyers. But the question is what type of buyers are driving the market. Speculation may spark movement, but for the momentum to be sustainable, spot demand must synchronize," the expert noted.
In a separate post, Darkfost identified the reason for the spike to $82,000 as record inflows into ETFs, combined with short liquidations.
This view was echoed by CryptoQuant, where analysts stated, "Everything about Bitcoin looks bullish, except the buyers."

Bull Score at 70, price up 24%, but short covering drove the rally, not new demand.

The bullish trend score stands at 70, with a 24% increase in price over the month; however, this rise is primarily attributed to short position closures rather than new demand, experts added.
Analyst Michaël van de Poppe noted the importance of understanding how long the current rally will last.
"Theoretically, Bitcoin has already experienced a mid-cycle correction, and we are about to enter a rally similar to that of 2016-2017, with a peak occurring earlier than usual. If the markets continue to follow a four-year pattern and are demonstrating such growth now, this cycle will be very interesting," he stated.
It's worth noting that at the beginning of September, Bitcoin's 90-day correlation with gold reached its highest level since 2020. At the same time, Bitcoin has lost its correlation with the stock market, pointed out Bitwise's head of research, Andre Dragos.
