Three engineers at Amazon have lodged a complaint with the Seattle Office for Civil Rights regarding an internal investigation initiated by the company. The investigation allegedly stemmed from the employees' advocacy for a one-year moratorium on large data centers, as detailed by The Verge.
This moratorium was unanimously approved by the Seattle City Council on June 9. In response, Amazon has stated that it is looking into possible breaches of its communication policy but has denied any intentions to terminate employees and emphasized that it does not retaliate against staff.
