Three Amazon engineers have filed a complaint with the Seattle Office for Civil Rights due to an internal company investigation. According to the employees, the investigation was prompted by their support for a moratorium on large data centers, as reported by The Verge.

On June 9, the Seattle City Council unanimously enacted a one-year moratorium on the establishment of such facilities. Amazon stated that it is reviewing potential violations of its communication policy, denies any plans to terminate employees, and asserts that it does not engage in retaliatory actions.
