This new tool resolves the incompatibility issues among autonomous protocols. Previously, merchants had to set up separate gateways for each standard to accept payments from AI agents.
"This is unfeasible, and with the launch of new systems, fragmentation will only increase. AgentPay fixes this," said Alchemy's CTO, Guillaume Ponsen.
Merchants register their existing API on the platform and receive a new endpoint. Through this, any agent can make a payment using one of the supported protocols (such as x402, MPP, A2P, or L402).

Ponsen emphasized that AgentPay functions solely as a transit layer for routing commands—the company Alchemy does not interact with users' funds.
Currently, the solution is undergoing closed beta testing, with a public release expected in the coming weeks. The project, often referred to as the "AWS of the Web3 world," provides developers with foundational infrastructure and node services for building blockchain applications.
The concept of autonomous finance relies on micro and nano transactions. Some of these operations occur directly between AI agents, without human involvement. It is anticipated that this segment will become the backbone of online payment activity in the future.

Additionally, the Solana Foundation announced the Solana Agent Skills solution, a set of skills that can be integrated into AI agents for blockchain interaction.
