On September 20, ZetaChain's community voted decisively to terminate its blockchain and transition the ZETA token to the Solana network, with an overwhelming 99.4% of participants backing the decision and a voter turnout of 58%. The migration will see ZETA issued under the SPL standard, maintaining a 1:1 exchange rate with the existing tokens, thus preserving the total supply.
The specific date for shutting down the network will be established through a subsequent vote, which will include input from exchanges involved in the migration process. Meanwhile, the ZetaChain team will pivot towards developing the AI application Anuma, which will also be migrated to Solana. Until the transition is finalized, both the ZetaChain network and ZETA staking will remain operational.
