The social network X has launched the Cashtags feature, allowing users to view stock and cryptocurrency data directly in their feed.

𝕏 has always been the best source of financial news for traders and investors. Billions of dollars are allocated every day based on what people read on Timeline.

According to product head Nikita Bier, the feature is now available to iPhone users in the US and Canada.

When searching for an asset ticker or smart contract address, the algorithm suggests the relevant tag. Clicking on it opens related posts and a real-time price chart.

For Canadian users, a button has been added to link to the broker platform Wealthsimple, allowing for quick access to asset trading.

Bier previously clarified that X does not plan to act as a broker or directly process trades; the integration aims to enhance informational financial tools. The timeline for launching Cashtags in other countries remains unknown.

This innovation aligns with Elon Musk's strategy to transform X into a "super app." The company is expected to offer early access to X Money—a digital wallet for P2P transfers and payments—by April.

To develop new products, the social network is actively expanding its team. Recently, X hired Benji Taylor, a former employee of Aave and Base, as the head of design.

Recall that in June 2025, Musk announced the launch of the XChat messenger, featuring encryption, disappearing messages, and the ability to send any files. Users criticized the new offering.
