Waymo is set to make its debut in the Southeast Asian market, announcing plans to introduce a commercial robotaxi service in Singapore by 2028. The company will begin sending electric Jaguar I-PACE vehicles to the country in the coming months. In 2027, Waymo specialists will manually drive the cars on local roads to tailor the system to the area’s infrastructure and weather conditions. Once operational, passengers will be able to access fully autonomous rides through the company's app.
