On August 5, Uniswap Labs unveiled a new platform designed for the issuance and trading of meme tokens within the Robinhood Chain. Each launch is accompanied by the creation of a liquidity pool based on Uniswap v4.

The Pools.trade service enables users to launch tokens without any coding requirements and immediately open an initial offering. Uniswap Labs cautioned that it does not verify the assets listed on its platform, meaning their value is subject to market demand and could potentially drop to zero.
While there is no separate launchpad fee, transactions within the created pools incur a 0.25% fee for liquidity providers.

By default, the fee is automatically reinvested into the locked position, enhancing the liquidity of the pool as trades occur. Token creators can earn 0.05% from each transaction, which is sourced from the overall 0.25% fee, leaving 0.2% to be reinvested into the pool.
Uniswap Labs also announced measures to protect against early bot purchases. Creators can buy meme coins in the same block as the asset’s creation, preventing external participants from making early purchases. However, this does not shield buyers from potential supply concentration among linked addresses, price manipulation, or demand decline.
Two Launch Modes
The Crowd Launch mode utilizes a time-weighted average price and features a four-hour offering period. Users indicate their purchase amount, and the system gradually fulfills requests as demand fluctuates.
According to the developers, this gradual execution is intended to complicate attempts to consolidate multiple wallets to capture a significant portion of the supply at launch. Trading commences once the total offering valuation reaches $10,000. If this threshold is not met, the offering is canceled and funds are returned to participants.
Instant Launch allows trading to begin immediately after the asset is created. The token's price adjusts according to a specified curve based on the volume of buys and sells, with no minimum threshold required to initiate trading in this mode.
In both scenarios, a total of 1 billion tokens are issued. Once the launch concludes, the liquidity is transferred to a permanently locked pool in Uniswap v4.
New assets will be displayed in the Uniswap web application and wallet, under the Launches section and trading API. This infrastructure will make them accessible to users of MetaMask, Ledger, and DEX aggregators.
Early Contracts Discovered Before Launch
Before the official rollout, traders identified early versions of the Pools.trade smart contracts. According to Uniswap founder Hayden Adams, the trading volume through these contracts surpassed $150 million.

"This created a unique challenge, requiring us to update our website and indexing to simultaneously support both the early test versions and the final versions of the contracts, which added some extra time to the launch," he noted.
Adams mentioned that the protocol has been facilitating token launches since its inception, as new assets generate trading liquidity in Uniswap pools. Pools.trade formalizes this function as a standalone product.
Meme Coins Drive Early Network Activity
On July 1, the online broker Robinhood launched its public mainnet, Robinhood Chain. This Layer 2 solution, built on Arbitrum, focuses on tokenized assets and financial applications. Uniswap v2, v3, v4, and UniswapX became operational on the network at its launch.
