  • Individuals involved in an upcoming White House innovation meeting have received word that President Donald Trump is set to attend, alongside various crypto CEOs part of a new advisory committee at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
  • This gathering is a precursor to the committee's inaugural event on Thursday, where the CEOs will engage in discussions about their respective fields.

President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to attend a White House meeting on Wednesday with the new innovation committee comprised of CEOs from the crypto, prediction market, and AI sectors, according to sources familiar with the preparations.

Leaders from notable companies such as Coinbase, Ripple, Gemini, Robinhood, Polymarket, and Kalshi are part of this Innovation Advisory Committee at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Prior to their first official meeting on Thursday, these crypto executives will convene at the White House, where it has been indicated that Trump will be present, according to unnamed sources.

The meeting is set to take place at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building adjacent to the White House and aims to foster a policy dialogue within key sectors of U.S. innovation. Attendees are also expected to include CFTC Chairman Mike Selig and other advisors, with suggestions that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick may also participate.

White House representatives did not immediately respond to inquiries regarding the meeting.

In addition to the prominent crypto CEOs, the meeting will also feature executives from traditional financial institutions. The committee's membership includes leaders from CME Group, Nasdaq, and Intercontinental Exchange, among others. Frank La Salle, the CEO of the DTCC, is also a member.

The meeting scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the CFTC will focus on the innovation agenda of the group. The opening session is titled, "Crypto’s Regulatory Evolution: From Uncertainty to Clarity," with one proposed discussion point addressing "the remaining challenges to a durable federal market structure."

The White House and Trump have been engaged in a contentious discussion regarding the advancement of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which awaits final votes in the U.S. Senate. Any further progress may hinge on whether the president is amenable to accepting stricter ethics regulations related to his personal involvement in the cryptocurrency sector.
