TikTok is testing an optional tool called Likeness Detection with a small group of U.S. creators. This feature identifies AI-generated content featuring the creator's face and allows users to report deepfakes or fake accounts. To activate it, users must verify their identity through Jumio, which involves a real-time selfie and document scan. The company stated that it does not store copies of documents and that biometrics are used solely for matching purposes.
