Telegram has launched Managed Bots, enabling users to create AI agents without coding, enhancing bot functionality and communication.
Telegram has introduced a new feature called Managed Bots, which empowers users to create customized AI agents through its Bot API without requiring any coding expertise.
This tool allows users to designate a bot—whether it's their own or a third-party bot—as a manager. Once in management mode, users can generate a link that enables others to create their own assistants filled with pre-defined information. The manager bot then oversees messaging, settings, and profile updates for these assistant bots.
Developers indicated this system is versatile enough to facilitate the deployment of personal assistants, AI agents, and tailored business solutions.
Moreover, the functionality of bots has been broadened to accept various input types beyond just text, including:
- files
- geolocation
- stickers
- voice messages
- interactive commands like /start and /help
Enhancements to built-in keyboards and inline buttons now allow bots to present users with menus, quick actions, toggles, and links within the chat itself, eliminating the need for additional messages.
Additionally, the new feature permits assistants to interact with each other, which can streamline complex tasks, such as delegating responsibilities among bots in group chats.
Previously, in December 2025, Telegram launched a decentralized AI network named Cocoon on the TON blockchain.
