The board has now doubled its authorization for this spending, raising the digital credit securities repurchase program from $1 billion to $2 billion, of which $1.19 billion remains available as of September 7. A separate $1 billion program for MSTR stock remains intact.
No New Bitcoin Acquisitions
During this period, the company made no Bitcoin purchases or sales, and did not sell any shares under its at-the-market offering program. Strategy currently holds 845,050 BTC, which were acquired for $63.73 billion, averaging $75,412 each after fees.
As Bitcoin trades around $77,760 according to CoinGecko data, the value of Strategy's Bitcoin holdings stands at approximately $65.7 billion, reflecting an unrealized gain of about 3% compared to the $63.7 billion investment. The previous week's purchase, made at $80,318 per coin, is currently at a loss.
Strategy's cash balances include $5.10 billion in USD Reserve for covering preferred dividends and interest, alongside $1.44 billion in USD Cash available for management to deploy on Bitcoin or other investments. The $176.3 million used for buybacks was drawn from this cash reserve.

Meanwhile, Strategy's Chair Michael Saylor and CEO Phong Le have requested MSCI to reconsider an index rule that could exclude Strategy from global benchmarks, labeling it as discriminatory. Funds that track these indexes hold 3.1% of Strategy's basic shares.
