The firm Strategy offloaded 6,916 BTC in the price range of approximately $60,000 to $65,000, later resuming purchases at an average cost of $80,318 a few weeks later. CEO Fong Le explained to Bloomberg that this decision was influenced not by Bitcoin's price but by the cost of capital: part of the proceeds from the sale were allocated for dividends and the repurchase of preferred shares.
Previously, Strategy had acquired another 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million, raising its total reserves to 845,050 BTC. Le emphasized that the company continues to be a net buyer and is open to acquiring cryptocurrency even at prices of $90,000, $100,000, or $130,000, provided that financing conditions remain favorable.
