Developers of the Solana blockchain have launched a unified hub called Solana Payments, an informational platform for integrating cryptocurrency payments.

$2 trillion in quarterly stablecoin transfers. $300M+ in monthly payments. Fractions of a penny in fees.

The website features technical documentation and network statistics. Developers have added a real-time transaction simulator and examples of successful projects within the ecosystem. The main goal of the portal is to showcase the advantages of blockchain for financial integrations.

Major companies like Visa, PayPal, Stripe, and Western Union are already utilizing Solana's infrastructure in their products. Key use cases include cross-border transfers, instant salary payments, vendor settlements, and corporate treasury management.

The project team also revealed historical data:

  • Over the past six years, the network has processed more than 480 billion transactions;
  • Quarterly transaction volume in stablecoins reaches $2 trillion;
  • Transfers in other digital assets exceed $300 million monthly.

The blockchain is actively used in the field of artificial intelligence. According to developers, Solana holds a 49% share of the micropayment market among AI agents based on the x402 protocol.

The "people's cryptocurrency" significantly outperforms Base in key scalability metrics. Solana's current throughput is 1,140 transactions per second (TPS), nearly ten times higher than Base's 118.5 TPS. Solana's historical peak reached 5,289 TPS compared to 1,988 TPS for its competitor, while Solana's theoretical limit is 65,000 transactions against 3,571 for the L2 network.

Speed is crucial for retail payments. Solana's block creation time is just 0.39 seconds, compared to 2 seconds for Base. Full transaction finalization in Solana takes 12.8 seconds, while in Base it exceeds 13 minutes.

The average transfer fee on Solana is 62% lower: about $0.0058 compared to $0.015 for Base. Such figures make the blockchain more appealing for everyday transactions.

Recall that in February, Solana Company unveiled a roadmap for creating high-speed infrastructure in Asia.
