At the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, Samsung revealed its intention to integrate stablecoin support into more than 800 million smartphones. This upgrade will be facilitated through the Samsung Wallet app, which will feature payment and savings accounts tied to local fiat currencies. Currently, the app serves around 19 million users in South Korea and is available in 61 countries. However, details regarding which stablecoins will be supported or the number of Galaxy device users currently engaged with cryptocurrency features were not disclosed.
