Samsung C&T is set to invest as much as $100 million in Kairos Power, contributing to the construction of the 50-MW Hermes 2 reactor for Google. Of this total, $70 million will be allocated for equity investments in the startup, while the remainder will cover engineering services.
The Hermes 2 reactor is scheduled to be operational by 2030. This project is part of a broader agreement between Kairos Power and Google, which aims to develop reactors with a combined capacity of approximately 500 MW by 2035.
