- Revolut has reached a valuation of $115 billion following a secondary share sale, making it the highest-valued private company in Europe.
- The company reported a robust performance for 2025, with a pre-tax profit of $2.3 billion and revenue of $6 billion.
- Its primary app enables users to trade over 200 crypto tokens, transfer assets to external wallets, and stake holdings, in addition to operating its own crypto exchange, Revolut X.
- Revolut has recently obtained a full banking license in the UK and is aiming for a national bank charter in the US, with an IPO valuation target of $200 billion.
The crypto-friendly digital banking platform Revolut has seen its valuation soar to $115 billion through a secondary share sale, reflecting a 53% increase in less than a year.
According to an internal communication from CEO Nik Storonsky, shares were priced at $2,017 each. This arrangement allows existing shareholders, including employees, to sell their stock without the company seeking to raise new capital.
This valuation marks a significant rise from the previous year's figure of $45 billion in 2024 and positions Revolut as the most valuable private company in Europe, surpassing the $75 billion valuation noted in November.
It also places the company ahead of established banking entities like Barclays, which has an approximate market value of $95 billion. However, it is important to note that Revolut's valuation is based on a private transaction, the details of which remain undisclosed.
Revolut reported a pre-tax profit of $2.3 billion for 2025, representing a 57% increase, while revenue grew by 46% to $6 billion. The customer count has now surpassed 75 million.
The app enables users to trade over 200 crypto tokens, transfer assets to external wallets, and stake their holdings, and it also operates a dedicated crypto exchange known as Revolut X.
Last year, Revolut secured a MiCA license to provide crypto services across the EU, and recently, in March, it obtained a full UK banking license. The company has also sought a national bank charter in the US and has discussed a potential IPO valuation of up to $200 billion.
CoinDesk reached out to the bank for comments but did not receive an immediate response.
