The Indian firm QpiAI has inaugurated a manufacturing facility for quantum processors in Bangalore. At its current stage, the facility is capable of producing superconducting flip chips with up to 128 qubits. By 2027, the third phase of the project aims to enhance production capacity to processors containing 10,000 physical qubits.

Thus far, approximately $20 to $25 million has been invested in the project, with plans to allocate an additional $10 to $15 million for lithography, etching, assembly, and packaging, as well as for research into superconducting, photonic, and semiconductor qubits.
