The initial version of the Perplexity Computer was launched in February 2026, with a significant update released on March 11.
Positioned as a standalone computing solution, the service boasts features such as high-precision AI search capabilities, an orchestration system utilizing 20 advanced models, and direct internet access.
According to the company, "Personal Computer runs on a dedicated Mac mini, which can operate around the clock, connected to your local applications and Perplexity's secure servers."
Perplexity describes this tool as a "digital representative of the user," allowing for seamless remote management of work tools and files from any device.
