OpenAI has integrated the GPT-5.3 Instant model into ChatGPT, enhancing the tone, relevance, and fluidity of conversations. This update aims to make daily interactions with the chatbot more useful and natural, the developers reported.

In contrast, GPT-5.2 Instant sometimes provided "overly cautious and preachy" responses on sensitive topics. The updated model significantly reduces the use of moralizing preambles.

When processing data from the internet, GPT-5.3 Instant delivers more meaningful and structured answers. It better recognizes the nuances of queries and aligns the information found with its own knowledge and logic.

Overall, the communication style of the new model feels more natural, eliminating unnecessary phrases like "Stop. Take a breath." The tool is less prone to "hallucinations" and performs better in text generation. However, OpenAI cautioned that responses in some languages may come across as too literal.

GPT-5.3 Instant is now available to all ChatGPT users and developers via API. Support for the GPT-5.2 Instant model will continue until June 3, 2026.

GitHub Alternative

According to various media outlets, OpenAI is developing an alternative to GitHub. The project is in its early stages, but a strategic decision has been made.

The service is expected to be available via a paid subscription, although further details have not been disclosed by journalists.

The frequent outages of GitHub, which have caused issues for OpenAI engineers, may have prompted the creation of this product.

If the company launches its own code storage platform, it will directly compete with its major shareholder, Microsoft (the owner of GitHub).

At the end of February, OpenAI secured $110 billion in investments at a valuation of $730 billion. This funding round became one of the largest in startup history.

Updated Gemini

Meanwhile, Google released a preview version of Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite, touted as the "most economical and fastest" model in the Gemini 3 family.

The cost of using the neural network is $0.25 per million input tokens and $1.50 per million output tokens.

The model is optimized for creating AI agents and scaling: it can handle large data translations, content moderation, and generate user interfaces.

According to independent researchers from Artificial Analysis, the new model processes information 2.5 times faster than Gemini Flash 2.5.

The 3.1 Flash-Lite version is available in preview mode for developers through the Gemini API and in Google AI Studio, and for businesses via Vertex AI.

Recall that in February, Google introduced Gemini 3.1 Pro, an updated AI model that set records in benchmarks.

Previously, Google enhanced the reasoning mode of Gemini 3 Deep Think. This tool is positioned as a solution for complex tasks in science and engineering.
