Between August 16 and 26, six Bitcoin wallets that had been inactive since 2011 to 2014 transferred a total of 553.59 BTC, approximately valued at $40 million. Five of these wallets sent funds to addresses with no known ties to exchanges, while an additional 40 BTC were directed to Boerse Stuttgart Digital. According to Galaxy Research, the activity of these "sleeping" coins fell to its lowest level in the second quarter of 2026 since the third quarter of 2022. This year, the volume of such asset transfers is half of what it was last year.
