In a significant movement, six dormant Bitcoin wallets, unused since between 2011 and 2014, have collectively transferred 553.59 BTC, equating to around $40 million, during the period from August 16 to 26. Of these, five wallets sent their funds to addresses that do not appear to be associated with any exchanges, while 40 BTC were specifically moved to Boerse Stuttgart Digital.
Analysts from Galaxy Research noted that the activity of these long-dormant coins has reached its lowest point in the second quarter of 2026, a decline not seen since the third quarter of 2022. Furthermore, the volume of transfers involving such inactive assets this year is currently at 50% of what it was in the previous year.
