Nokia and Indosat Upgrade Indonesia's 5G Network

Nokia and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison are set to upgrade Indonesia's mobile network, deploying low-band 5G nationwide and mid-band 5G across 80% of the infrastructure over the next 3.5 years.

Nokia and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison have reached an agreement to upgrade the mobile network across Indonesia. Over the next 3.5 years, low-band 5G will be deployed throughout the network, while mid-band 5G will cover approximately 80% of the infrastructure. NVIDIA is responsible for enhancing network capabilities with artificial intelligence integration, and field trials for AI-driven RAN are scheduled for late 2026.
