The U.S. Department of Justice has accused Taji Tarshe, the founder of the NFT platform Few and Far, of securities fraud and electronic fraud. Authorities allege that instead of advancing the project, he misappropriated over $10 million for cryptocurrency trading, gambling, real estate purchases in Miami, and personal expenses.
According to officials, an internal audit conducted in June 2023 uncovered the violations, and the 95 million FAR tokens issued in May 2024 quickly lost value and ceased trading shortly thereafter. Tarshe faces a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
