With more than 75 multi-binary markets available at launch, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Prediction Contest allows Myriad users to forecast the outcomes of every match in the tournament. The total prize pool of $100,000 is earmarked for the leading traders and makers.
The top three traders will receive $20,000, $10,000, and $5,000, while the remaining $10,000 will be allocated among the rest of the leaderboard, which remains active until the competition concludes.
Additionally, top makers can earn from a weekly reward pool of $5,000 throughout the contest, with the leaderboard being reset each week.
This competition is a continuation of Myriad’s recent partnerships with Chainlink, whose oracles facilitate market resolution, and 55 Tech, the new tech partner providing real-time sports data.
Earlier in the year, Myriad successfully secured a “milestone” seed investment round, enabling the prediction market to “invest aggressively in product development, liquidity, and market expansion,” according to CEO Loxley Fernandes.
The World Cup is considered the premier sporting event globally, with around 1.5 billion viewers estimated to have watched the last World Cup final in Qatar, as reported by FIFA. This year’s tournament will begin on June 11, featuring a match between South Africa and the host nation, Mexico. South Africa enters the match as the underdog, with Myriad users assigning them just a 13% likelihood of winning.
