Meta to Test AI Pendant in 2027

Meta is gearing up to trial an AI pendant in 2027, as reported by The Information, which cites the company's internal documents.

This innovative device, which can be worn around the neck or clipped to clothing, will utilize technology acquired from the startup Limitless, purchased by Meta in late 2025. The acquisition is expected to expedite the development of smart accessories.

Alongside the pendant, Meta plans to broaden its range of smart glasses and introduce a new subscription service named Wearables for Work.

This push into electronics is part of an effort to enhance the financial performance of its Reality Labs division, which reported losses of $4 billion in the first quarter of this year.

Recently, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg noted that Apple is also working on an AI pendant and headphones equipped with cameras.
