Mastercard has launched a new service called Agent Pay for Machines, aimed at enabling autonomous transactions among AI agents, software platforms, and Internet-connected devices. This system supports payments via credit cards, bank accounts, and stablecoins, allowing for micropayments down to mere fractions of a cent.
More than 30 companies, including major players like Coinbase, OKX, Polygon, RippleX, Stripe, Cloudflare, and the Solana Foundation, have partnered with Mastercard to support this initiative.
