Tonkeeper Rebrands to Keeper, Expands Wallet Functionality

Tonkeeper has undergone a rebranding and is now known as Keeper, significantly enhancing its capabilities by adding support for six new blockchain networks. This expansion marks a shift from its previous focus on The Open Network.

In a recent announcement, Keeper now supports a diverse range of networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and Base, in addition to its native TON.

Future Developments on the Horizon

Chief Marketing Officer Nikita Monastyrskiy highlighted that the rebranding reflects a response to user feedback, as many have started engaging with multiple blockchain systems. Monastyrskiy noted, "Users wanted to manage assets across different chains while still holding onto their TON assets in Keeper." The newly named wallet aims to introduce various features such as cross-chain swaps, financial instruments, and a centralized application browser, thereby transforming it into an essential daily tool for users.

The company also announced the Battery feature, which allows transaction fees to be paid without needing to hold the native tokens for each supported network. Keeper plans to roll out this feature across all its networks within a year.

Context and Market Reactions

This rebranding aligns with ongoing trends in the cryptocurrency space, similar to MyTonWallet's recent change to My Wallet after expanding its support to 11 networks. Keeper’s expansion reflects the shifting landscape and the importance of multichain compatibility, especially as Telegram increases its involvement with the TON ecosystem.

Andrew Rogozov, the founder of the Open Platform, commented on the move, stating, "Keeper represents our next phase: extending our user-friendly approach beyond TON and into the wider cryptocurrency landscape." As Keeper evolves, it aims to cater to growing demands for comprehensive asset management solutions across multiple platforms.
