Kalshi's user traffic in the United States surged to 15.4 million in July, a significant jump from less than 1 million in August 2022, as reported by Similarweb. The vast majority, nearly 80%, of this traffic originated from American users.
Trading volumes also skyrocketed, with August seeing approximately $40 billion in transactions, a massive increase from $874 million a year prior. Sports contracts were particularly prominent, making up 83% of the platform's trading activity in July, despite ongoing legal challenges in various U.S. states.
