Hyperscale Data, a publicly traded company, has completely halted its Bitcoin mining operations at its facility in Michigan, with plans to convert the site into a data center focused on artificial intelligence. The company aims to sell off all mining equipment. A contract with an undisclosed cloud provider includes 20 MW of power and could potentially generate over $1.2 billion in revenue throughout the agreement's duration.
There is also an additional option for 32 MW, which could raise the contract's value to more than $3 billion. Meanwhile, Hyperscale Data will continue its cryptocurrency mining activities at its site in Montana.
