Huawei has announced that it will release its AI chip, the Ascend 960DT, in the first quarter of 2027, which is earlier than previously expected. Following this, the company plans to unveil the Ascend 960PR in the third quarter, as reported by Reuters citing Huawei's management.
Additionally, Huawei introduced the Peerium architecture, designed to integrate AI accelerators into large computing systems, with the capability to connect up to 1 million processors. The company noted that it is currently unable to meet the demand for AI hardware, even within China.
