The Glamsterdam update has entered its final development stage and is currently being tested with all planned EIPs ahead of the public testnet launch. The exact activation date has not been set, but the launch is anticipated in the second half of 2026.

Paritosh Jayanti from the Ethereum Foundation described Glamsterdam as likely the largest fork of the network since The Merge in 2022. It includes ePBS (EIP-7732), block-level access lists (EIP-7928), and a comprehensive overhaul of transaction costs.
