This declaration came during their summit in Évian, where they also voiced concerns regarding the country's advancing nuclear and missile capabilities, although they refrained from outlining specific actions to address the challenges in the cryptocurrency realm.
Data from Chainalysis indicates that North Korean cybercriminals pilfered $2.02 billion in digital assets in 2025, representing a 51% increase from the prior year. The overall value of assets attributed to these hackers is estimated to exceed $6.75 billion.
