Andrew Bailey, the head of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), has alerted finance ministers and central banks of the G20 about escalating risks associated with advanced AI models, particularly in the realm of cybersecurity.

Bailey emphasized the need for secure deployment and integration of such models, urging financial institutions to enhance their recovery protocols following incidents and bolster the resilience of essential technology providers. He also pointed out that rising leverage, inflated asset valuations, and an overly optimistic view of AI could exacerbate future market corrections.
