(Spencer Platt/Getty Images)SummaryShowThis week's Crypto Week Ahead outlines significant events in the cryptocurrency sector and key macroeconomic indicators that could impact digital asset markets.
Key macro reports will be released, including the minutes from last month's Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting, which may give clues regarding future actions from the Federal Reserve.
Additionally, American Bitcoin (ABTC) has successfully avoided a delisting from Nasdaq following a reverse stock split.
SpaceX, the aerospace and AI company founded by Elon Musk, is set to enter the Nasdaq 100, marking it as the fourth company in this tech-heavy index to possess bitcoin BTC$62,844.39. Its inclusion is expected to drive demand for its stock, as funds tracking the index will require shares of the company and it is more likely to align with investment criteria.
Other companies in the index include Tesla (TSLA), MicroStrategy (MSTR), and Mercado Libre (MELI). SpaceX, which holds 18,712 BTC, is anticipated to have a greater influence on the index compared to the latter two.
Moreover, it's important to monitor geopolitical events and the ongoing depreciation of the yen against the dollar. Bitcoin has shown a noteworthy negative correlation with the yen’s exchange rate, often rising when the yen declines.
