Ethereum developers have scheduled the activation of the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet for October 26. Alongside this, the gas limit per block will be increased to 200 million. This upgrade will implement a separation of block creation and proposal functions, block-level access lists, and new fee calculation rules. These changes aim to enhance the network's throughput and transaction processing efficiency. Previously, on October 6, Glamsterdam was successfully activated on the Sepolia testnet. The timeline for the mainnet deployment of the upgrade has yet to be announced.
