The CoinDesk 20 Index has shown a notable downturn, closing at 1941.81, which represents a 2.6% dip since Monday's close. This decline is largely attributed to Stellar (XLM), which saw a significant drop of 8.4%, making it one of the worst performers in the index. Another asset, Aave (AAVE), also struggled, falling by 3.9% during the same timeframe.
In contrast, the index saw minimal positive movement, with only two assets posting gains. NEAR led the way with a 3.2% increase, followed closely by Internet Computer (ICP), which rose by 0.7%. The CoinDesk 20 Index serves as a broad benchmark for cryptocurrency performance across various trading platforms globally, highlighting both the successes and challenges faced by different digital assets in the current market environment.
